Things to Do

Much of Parsipanny’s recreational amenities are focused on outdoor activities, and for a good reason. Parsippany is home to some of the most beautiful lakes in the state, including the popular Lake Parsippany, which provides day visitors with many lakeside beaches from which to swim and sunbathe. Here, fishing is another popular pastime, especially once the Spring’s Trout Stocking event comes around. Another beautiful private reservoir, Mount Tabor Lake, also offers its members excellent swimming and fishing conditions, although access to the lake is dependent on membership.

A highly-rated indoor attraction in the area is the Morris Museum, located only eight miles from Parsippany, which hosts many exhibitions involving art, sound, and motion throughout the year. The nearby community of Morristown is also the location of a wildly popular St. Patty’s Day Parade, hosting over 20 bands and drawing up to 70,000 spectators.
