For those who prefer taking the train into Manhattan, the New Jersey Transit station in Dover is only a half-hour drive from Long Valley and will get you to Penn Station in roughly an hour-and-a-half.

Long Valley is an unincorporated community in Morris County. As such, it is served by the Washington Township School District. Washington Township schools in Long Valley are excellent, which is good news for anybody considering a move to this area. The town itself plays host to a middle school and three primary schools. Students in grades 9-12 attend West Morris Central High School in Chester.
